Show Choir Auditions for 2017-2018
Trojanaire auditions have already been completed for the 2017-2018 year.
Students may audition for the opportunity to be a member of Trojanation/Trebleaires or Treble Tones/Trojan Connection (firm names have yet to be determined).
How do I audition?
Auditions will be in two parts: Vocal and Choreography, all students wishing to be a part of any JVM Show Choir must participate in both. Please see the Jenks Vocal Music Handbook for the audition rubric and more information on the decision process.
CHOREOGRAPHY LEARNING DAY
Students will learn a show choir style dance selection then audition the following day.
Students will be assigned a number and then audition in groups of 8. Students MUST stay for the entire audition unless pre-approved by the director. Students will sing a short solo of their choice in the genre of Broadway (one verse or 16 measures or 30 seconds long) and then perform the dance they learned the previous day.
*All students must turn in a commitment form at the time of auditions – this is not the contract required for membership, it simply acknowledges you understand what it means to be selected for one of these ensembles.
*Every student auditioning to be a part of JVM Show Choirs must have read, understood, and signed the Jenks Vocal Music Handbook.
